New spy shots on the internet show the unique interiors of the new 2020 Skoda Octavia. The Octavia was one of the best selling cars for the company around the world. This is the 4th generation update of the car. The car will make its first appearance at the Frankfurt auto show next month.
This is not just a facelift but a completely new generation. But most of the changes are on the interior, rather than on the outside. On the exterior, we can see a new LED headlamp with DRL setup. There is also a new grille on the front. The rear of the car will be on the same lines as the older generation.
The spy shots also show the interior which features many updates. The biggest one is the new steering wheel. The two-spoke wheel does bring a unique and sportier look. We last saw this steering wheel on the concept version of the Skoda Kamiq. The dashboard gets two variants of the infotainment system. The lower model gets a smaller sized screen whereas the higher end model gets a bigger sized screen. Also, the top-end models get an all-digital instrument console. The mid variants also get a digital instrument cluster but with fewer features.
The new gen 2020 Skoda Octavia gets both petrol and diesel engine options. It runs on 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-liter TSI Evo petrol engine while its diesel engine lineup will include a 1.6 liter TDI and 2.0-liter diesel engine. It also includes a plug-in hybrid for the very first time. The RS variant also gets a 48V mild hybrid variant.
