Skoda has recently revealed upcoming Octavia in terms of sketches. The upcoming sedan is scheduled to be unveiled on November 11, 2019. Now, an unofficial sketch of the sedan has been surfaced online which reveals much about the exterior design and styling. The all-new design of Octavia is based on the new Superb. The fans are eagerly waiting for the official release of the trendy looking updated sedan.
The 2020 Octavia has got an extended and plunging hood highlighting a new single headlamp cluster arrangement. According to the leaked image, the new Octavia will be more advanced in terms of design. The features will be also improved to rival against its current competitors. Overall, it will be the modified variant of the existing model along with remarkable Scala qualities and Superb facelift design.
According to a report, the image was taken from Skoda Community DE. However, the company’s German website has not been listed with the new image, but Octavia liftback is not available as simply the wagon can be seen in the configurator. It is assumed that the company might have faced an issue while removing the liftback and adding the new version. However, whatever the reason, we got the glimpse of the new-gen version of the sedan.
The upcoming Skoda Octavia is a more enhanced model of the MQB platform and better than its successors. It is developed with a more extended wheelbase however, the company hasn’t confirmed anything about the new model. The image reveals only the front designing of the sedan and rear is still hidden. At the front, we notice a husky bumper with raised air vents. It is assumed that it will be equipped with LED taillights that presently overhang the boot-lid.
The interior will be more lavishing which was earlier revealed in spy shots. Although, the features are not yet revealed. It is expected to come with the Vision X concept interior that was showcased at the 2018 Geneva motor show. The new touchscreen infotainment system will have a new location which might be above the centre console. It will come in different engine variants including turbo-petrol and diesel units with mild-hybrid technology as well.
In the global market, the company will launch the next-generation Octavia at the beginning of next year. On the other hand, the Indian market might get the sedan in late 2020. It is expected to be introduced in petrol units only. The transmission options will include manual and DSG automatic systems similar to the existing Octavia version.
