Currently, Royal Enfield is working on the launch of its next generation models of Classic, Bullet and Thuderbird. The 2020 Royal Enfield Classic has been spied. Time and again Royal Enfield has updated its range with new features and it has not been a year since the company has introduced the BSVI compliant versions. However, the company now focuses on improving the overall quality and maintainability. The increase in competition has made the bike maker come up with new upgrades.

Hriday, an automotive enthusiast has spotted the new generation Royal Enfield Classic 350/500 on test. He had managed to click few detailed images of the test mule. The prototype is built based on the modular J architecture which will also share its underpinnings with the Bullet and the Thunderbird. The next gen Royal Enfield classic is expected to feature new styling including the new LED headlamps, new foot pegs and the new rear brake lever. The new rear brake lever is routed above the foot peg and is made shorter.

The Royal Enfield Classic test mule was seen with the existing body work and instrument panel. Royal Enfield mainly focused on improving the quality and therefore has taken the help of the Japanese experts. The next gen Royal Enfield Classic will abandon kick starter. The next gen Royal Enfield Classic along with its siblings is expected to arrive starting from the beginning of 2020. The Royal Enfield Classic range includes Classic 350, Classic 350 Signals, Classic 350 Redditch, Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey, Classic 500, Classic 500 Chrome, Classic 500 Dessert Storm, Classic 500 Squadron Blue, Classic 500 Stealth Black and Classic 500 Pegasus.

The prototype was seen with a revised engine along with all new transmission and alternator cases. However, no statement could be made regarding the displacement but it is expected to be powered by the same 350 cc and 500 cc motors. The motor is likely to be single cylinder air cooled unit and it will definitely comply with the BSVI norms. The motor is also likely to get the standard electronic fuel injection.
