The all-new 2020 Hyundai Tucson was launched in the country at an introductory starting price of Rs 22.30 lakh. Hyundai Motors, like all other manufacturers, took to digital platforms to stream the launch of the car live. Tucson being the premium flagship SUV of Hyundai comes with all sorts of advanced technology, connectivity, and luxurious interiors. Tucson is available in both petrol and diesel across five different variants.
The 2020 Hyundai Tucson is powered by 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor produces 152ps power and 192nm of peak torque and is mated to a smooth 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 185ps power and also 400nm of peak torque and is mated to a new and advanced 8-speed automatic transmission. A 4WD system with advanced traction cornering control and different drive modes is only available with the diesel engine option.
Talking about the features, the 2020 Hyundai Tucson comes loaded with them. It sports a Penta projector headlamp up front along with LED DRLs and tail lamps. It also features Hyundai’s iconic cascading grille up front. The SUV also keeps up with safety features like 6 airbags, hill assist, hill descent control, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake, and both front and rear parking sensors.
On the interiors, we can see an all-black color scheme with a leather-stitched dashboard. The center console sports a large floating 8-inch infotainment system with Hyundai Bluelink support. It also gets premium features like Infinity Premium 8-speaker system, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, electronic parking brake, Power Adjustable Front Seats Hands-Free Power Tailgate and Wireless Charger.
The new Hyundai Tucson facelift will go up against the likes of the Jeep Compass, Honda CR-V, and the new entrants like Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen Tiguan.
