Hyundai has started testing the Elite i20 in our country and abroad. The premium hatchback is likely to launch in our country sometime in the next year. The Hyundai Elite i20 premium hatchback has been spotted testing in Sierra Nevada, California. The 2020 Hyundai Elite i20 shares its underpinnings with the modified version of the Hyundai Venue’s platform. The upcoming premium hatchback will receive a host of interior and exterior features including the Hyundai’s Blue Link Connectivity features.
The spy images reveal that the 2020 Hyundai Elite i20 receives sleek projector headlamps and a broader cascading grille on the front. The premium hatchback borrows styling clues from the Hyundai Elantra like the triangular fog lamp housing and the front bumper with a small air dam at the bottom. The spy shots confirm the presence of the larger 16 inches wheels and flared wheel arches on the side profile. Besides that, the Hyundai Elite i20 features disc brakes at the front and rear. The other exterior features include new LED rear lamps, revised rear bumper, number plate placed at the back, wider mirrors and a longer wheelbase as revealed by the spy shots.
The spy shots did not reveal the interior of the premium hatchback. However, it is expected that the manufacturer will equip the cabin with a wide range of premium feature. The Hyundai Elite i20 will receive the Hyundai Blue Link Connectivity feature which was seen on the Hyundai Venue. The powering options are likely to be retained on the new Elite i20. However, Hyundai may introduce the 1.0 litre turbo petrol motor which churns out a power of 120 PS on the selected top of the line trims of the upcoming Elite i20.
Hyundai Motor India Limited is planning to launch three more cars this year itself and therefore the auto maker is working on those cars.
