A more sporty looking Audi entry-level SUV Q3? Why not. Audi has unveiled a coupe based version of their SUV Q3 called as Audi Q3 Sportsback. The main focus is on the styling retaining the engine configurations same as the Audi Q3.
First and foremost thing you will notice is the sloping roofline, which makes it look sportier than the regular Q3. The dimensions have also been changed by a slight margin like the Q3 Sportback is longer by 16mm and the height is shorter by 29mm. The front gets the black honeycomb pattern and is surround with chrome lining. The font gets the LED headlamp, there is also an option for Audi’s Matrix LED headlight. The rear side of the Audi Q3 Sportback features a diffuser, spoiler and LED tail lamps.
Coming to the inside you get a 10.25-inch center display as standard, you also get a 10.1-inch optional touchscreen. The Q3 Sportsback gets Audi’s traffic light information system to tell you that the traffic lights are red or green through Alexa integration. Ambient interior lighting comes with 30 different color options. It still maintains the same boot capacity as the Q3 and an optional electric tailgate.
Mechanically engine options are the same as the Audi Q3. First comes the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol motor which makes 226 hp. Then there is a 2.0-liter diesel engine in two different states of tunes. It comes with 147hp and 187hp options. There’s also a TFSI 1.5-liter four-cylinder motor paired with a 48-volt milt-hybrid system. All of the above engines come paired with a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. Audi also offers its Quattro drive system. The suspension setup is the same as the Audi Q3 though you can get the sport suspension system and adaptive dampers as an optional extra.
Audi is planning to sell the Q3 Sportback in Europe this fall. The price will start from $45,000 (31 lakhs). Audi has no plans to bring the Q3 Sportback in India anytime soon, in fact, Audi said no word about the US launch too.
