Toyota is all set to introduce its next-gen, Camry in India scheduled on January 18, 2019. This will be the 8th-Generation Camry in the country. The luxury car-maker has already started the delivery of the car which was recently spotted at a dealership. Although, for now, the vehicle has not been officially declared by the company.
This time, the Japanese automotive manufacturer has done a fabulous job with the all-new Camry, developed on an all-new Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. It has got some special factors which make it unique compared to previous models. The beauty has been spotted with a lavishing appearance and latest feature.
At the front, we could notice a V-shaped glossy-black grille which includes chrome detailing highlighted with wraparound LED headlamps with DRL’s. The appealing front design is equipped with a bigger hexagonal air dam. Just like the front, the rear section is equally amazing with the wraparound tail lamps and a distinct twin-shaded bumper combined with reflectors. The front grille is attached to the company’s logo and also features ORVMs.
2019 Camry is expected to be revealed in seven exciting shades: silver, black, burning black, white, graphite, red and brown. The sporty car sits on 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving in the cabin, we get a more spacious and feature-packed interior. It features three spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-dial instrument cluster combined with a middle MID. There are many high-end features equipped in the cabin which makes it the most awaited car by Toyota till now.
The interior is completely modified along with dual-tone dash highlighted with the high-end touchscreen infotainment system. In India, the vehicle will be introduced with limited features compared to the international model keeping the price in mind. It will get interior features like a nine-speaker JBL system, wireless charging support, three-zone climate control, head-up display, power adjustable driver seat, cruise control, keyless-entry and others.
The interior will have more legroom in the rear as well as the front. It is redesigned with comfortable leather seats with contrast stitching. Camry will be powered by a hybrid powertrain emphasising a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol powertrain is expected to be capable of generating 174 BHP if power at 5,700 rpm and 221 Nm of peak torque between 3,600-5,200 rpm. It will also feature ECO mode and a full-electric mode for making your drives comfortable.
Moreover, it could have some essential safety features. The upcoming Camry hybrid will claim an enhanced fuel efficiency at 23.27kmpl. The company has already released the teaser of Indian variant Camry. Expect the luxury car to be introduced at a price of nearly Rs 38 lakh, ex-showroom. In India, the next-gen Camry will rival against the likes of Honda Accord Hybrid and Skoda Superb.
