After the launch of the new Suzuki Gixxer 250 and facelift of the Gixxer SF 150, Suzuki is going to launch the new updated Gixxer 150. Few spy shots of the bike have surfaced online. The leaked images are from a youtube video.
The bike appears in a dual tone gloss blue and black paint scheme. The biggest change we can see is right at the front, the headlight cluster has been changed to all LED unit. The tail lamps should also be a LED unit. The bike gets a split seat setup. In fact, the instrument cluster has also been updated and gets more features along with gear indicator, rpm meter and two trip meters.
The engine will be the same from the 2019 Gixxer SF, the 154.9cc, 4-Stroke Air-cooled SOHC 2-Valve motor which makes 14.1ps at 8000rpm and a torque of 14Nm at 6000rpm mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The bike will come with fuel injection, a 12l fuel tank and 165mm of ground clearance. Front tyre is 100/80R section and rear is 140/60R section.
The bike is going to be launched soon, the price will carry a little premium over the current ongoing variant. When launched it will compete against Yamaha FZ-S, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160.
