2019 MG EZS EV Teased Ahead Of Launch In Official Video

MG Hector enjoyed a great start in India with its first offering the MG Hector. As the Hector did great in Sales as well as the booking numbers. Recently we reported MG rolling out the 5000th unit of the Hector from its plant in Halol, Gujarat.

MG is not going to stop with the success of the Hector and will keep introducing new products to set its long term foothold in India. Seems like MG is ready with its second product offering for India and its gonna be an electric SUV. MG EZS is as an all-electric SUV from MG which is going to be launched soon but before launch MG has put out an official video of the making of the EZS SUV.

From the looks of it, the EZS is not big bold SUV, it’s more of like a crossover. The design is the same as the MG ZS along with some cues to know that it does not carry a conventional engine setup. Like there is no exhaust pipe at the back, you have EZS branding on the rear with ‘E’ finished in green, and a different designed front grille. The interior will have the same connected car features like the MG Hector, along with more new features for the EZS.

Well, the changes lie beneath the skin, which of course includes a battery pack and a motor instead of a conventional engine. Power comes from a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery which makes 148bhp. The range will be around 300-350km per charge. The battery will support fast charging with 50 KW CCS/CHAdeMO DC fast Public Charging Stations which will soon be established. Other charging options will soon be disclosed on the launch.

The MG EZS is soon going to be launched in India and it has only one competitor in India as of now which is the Hyundai Kona. Kona has a price tag of Rs 23.72 Lakhs. When launched we can expect MG to price it more aggressively and make it cheaper than Kona by a couple of Lakhs.
