The Mercedes G Class also comes with a feature called Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). This is one of the most important features when it comes to pedestrian safety. Other features like ABS, seat belt reminders are standard. It also gets driver, passenger, side and knee airbags to ensure the safety of the occupants in case of a crash. The rear seats also gets ISOFIX mount to safely attach a child seat.

The lane keep assist scored a marginal grade with a 72 percent score. This was because the car kept drifting out of its lane and this can be dangerous in some situations. The A pillars is where the car suffers when it comes to vulnerable road users.
