The all new Maruti Suzuki WagonR is expected to launch in our country in the early 2019 followed by the launch of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the uplifted model of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is spotted testing with minimal camouflage. The spy images have been surfaced on the internet and shows that the all new WagonR sports a MPV style rear end with tall Volvo inspired LED lights and an impressive glass area. The impressive glass section is offered on the car to provide airy interior feeling. The all new Maruti Suzuki WagonR comes with a lot of updates.

This is the fifth generation WagonR, therefore it is clear that Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has kept refreshing the car. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is developed based on the HEARTECT platform. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki WagonR will be offered in two variants – a five seater configuration and a seven seater configuration. The all new WagonR comes with modified headlamps and tail lamps design, the headlamps are more sweptback inspired from the Stingray. The ORVM panel on the car has the same color of the body. Besides that, the car gets a floating roof effect, a larger windscreen and larger windows as well. Maruti is likely to equip the top spec trim with a seven inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system installed with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In order to comply with the Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program [BNVSAP] norms, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has improved the mechanics of the all new WagonR. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR will be powered by the same 1 litre three cylinder K series petrol engine. The K series petrol engine is tuned to churn out a power of 57 bhp and deliver a peak torque of 90 Nm. A five speed manual or an AMT gearbox will come coupled to the engine. Most importantly, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has bestowed the all new WagonR with a host of safety features including the dual air bags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all its variants.

The fifth generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 4.14 lakh to Rs 5.39 lakh [ex showrrom – Delhi]. When launched the 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR will compete on the likes of the Renault Kwid, the Tata Tiago, Datsun GO and the recently launched new generation Hyundai Santro.
