The new Honda Civic is all set to hit the Indian roads around February, 2019. However the car will make its global debut on the USA markets. Now the latest images of the upcoming car along with its USA market price has been revealed by the manufacturer. The India based 2019 Honda Civic may be borrow design from the USA spec model while both the models can be distinct from one another in terms of its unique features. Honda has not yet made any statement about the price of the 2019 Honda Civic in the Indian markets, it is expected to be priced in between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
After a long gap of six years, followed by the launch of the new Honda CR-V in October this year, the 2019 Honda civic will arrive in the Indian markets. Honda will offer diesel powering option for the first time in the India based new Honda Civic. Therefore, the new Honda Civic will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options in the Indian markets. The latest images released by the Honda shows that the new Civic will get piano black accents on the exterior and the rear of the car gets more chrome accents. Besides that the 2019 Honda Civic sports a new front bumper and the fog lamp covering comes in chrome finish.
Moving on to the interior, the 2019 Honda Civic comes equipped with a large 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system installed with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Besides that the new Honda Civic comes with comfort features for the driver and the passenger and comfortable seating arrangements as well. Most importantly Honda will provide the new Civic with standard safety features.
Powering the 2019 Honda Civic is a 1.8 litre i-VTEC petrol engine, which churns out a power of 140 bhp. This engine gets coupled to a six speed manual or automatic gearbox. The other engine option is a 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel engine capable of offering 120 bhp. This same engine will be powering the upcoming Honda CR-V, set to launch on October 9, 2018. A six speed manual transmission comes matted to this engine. Once launched, the 2019 Honda Civic will compete on the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla.
