Ford, the American manufacturer has launched the new figo with some cosmetic updates and two new powertrains. The 2019 Ford Figo will be offered in three trims namely the Ambiente, the Titanium and the new Titanium BLU, which is the alternative for the Titanium+ trim. The car is priced in the range Rs 5.15 lakhs to Rs 8.09 lakhs. The new Ford Figo borrows styling clues and design from the Aspire, which was introduced last year.
The 2019 Ford Figo features ABS with EBD, dual frontal airbags, rear parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and speed sensing auto door lock as standard safety features across all the three variants. The top of the line variant is offered with headrests and six air bags. However, features like front fog lamps with chrome bezel, rear fog lamps, rear defogger, power adjustable and foldable ORVMs and dual tone roof are offered on specific variants. The BLU logo is specifically seen on the exterior and the interior of the Titanium BLU trim.
On the interior, the 2019 Ford Figo comes with a black theme and fabric upholstery. The other interior features on the new Figo include a seven inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SYNC3, an improved instrument cluster, auto AC, one touch driver side power window, side and curtain airbags, tilt adjustable electric power steering, rear view camera, seatbelt reminder, speed alert system and push start/ stop button.
Powering the 2019 Ford Figo are a 1.2 litre petrol motor, a 1.5 litre diesel motor and a 1.5 litre petrol engine. The three cylinder 1.2 litre Dragon series petrol unit churns out a power of 94 bhp and produces a peak torque of 120 Nm and mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The 1.5 litre TDCi diesel is tuned to produce 98 bhp and 215 Nm torque and is paired to 5 speed manual transmission. The 1.5 litre petrol engine makes 123 PS power and 150 Nm torque and comes paired to a six speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Ford Figo will rival with Maruti Suzuki Swoft and the Hyundai Grand i10.
