2019 Bajaj Dominar is almost ready and it comes with a host of new updates. The new Dominar not only get better features but it is also faster than the current one.
While the launch is coming close, few dealers have started accepting booking for the new Dominar with an amount of Rs 5,000. There have been a lot of spy photos and videos about the 2019 Dominar 400 over the internet and now we have got a pretty good idea about the updates.
Bajaj released an advertisement video with a slogan “The World’s Favourite Indian” featuring a glimpse of the Dominar 400. The first thing you’ll notice is the USD forks the new Dominar gets. It looks like the same unit from the KTM. The exhaust features a new dual barrel type design, though we are yet to hear how good it sounds. Tank cowls have been redesigned too.
The dual instrument cluster setup is still there and the cluster on the tank gets a few upgrades. It has a gear position sensor, odometer as well as time on the secondary display. Golden colour alloy wheels are also missing and it features a now it gets a traditional black colour design.
Powering the Dominar is a KTM sourced 373cc, single-cylinder engine, which makes around 34.5hp and 35Nm of torque. Some videos surfacing on the internet showed 2019 Dominar doing better accelerations runs than the current Dominar. Bajaj is expected to equip the engine with DOHC setup coupled with Bajaj three spark plug technology.
With all of these updates Bajaj is expected to slightly increase the price, but you’ll get better features for that premium. It is expected to be priced at Rs 1.63 lakhs (ex-showroom). It rival against KTM Duke 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Mahindra Mojo UT300.
