Bajaj is getting ready to launch its all-new flagship – the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400. Now its spotted in a unique green paint job. This is a bold color option by Bajaj India. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 features many cosmetic changes and is also expected to get some technical upgrades.
The new 2019 Dominar 400 sports a redesigned tank panel and dual port exhaust system. It also gets a new speedometer layout. The updated secondary tank mounted display now gets a gear position indicator, odometer and time. The dual-exhaust muffler is a significant cosmetic change. The exhaust note also seems to be different. But it is hard to judge the sound through a video.
Another major change comes in the form of USD forks up front. It appears to be similar to the setup on its KTM counterpart but with a different state of tune. The rear suspension is the standard mono-shock.
The old generation Bajaj Dominar 400 featured a 373cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces 34.5hp and 35Nm of torque. However, the 2019 version is expected to get a bump in power figures to offer stiffer competition to the rivals.
The price of the new Dominar 400 is also going up slightly. But it is still expected to remain under the INR 2 lakh mark. This still makes the Dominar the cheapest among its rivals. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will go up against the KTM Duke 390, KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR 310 and also the newly launched Honda CB300R.
