A new Youtube video shows the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 under heavy camouflage. This suggests that Bajaj is working on cosmetic updates for the 2019 revision. This also includes new paint schemes. This was spotted on the outskirts of Pune.
In the video, we can a KTM 390 Duke trying to chase the Dominar test mule. The 390 Duke reaches speeds of 140kmph trying to catch up. Interestingly, the Bajaj Dominar 400 shares the same platform as the KTM 390 Duke.
(Please note that we do not encourage riding at high speeds as seen in this situation).
From the spy images, it is immediately apparent that Bajaj is going for beefier USD front forks. It is not sure if the production variant will end up with this but we hope it does. Also, we can see what looks like a redesigned front mudguard.
Rumors also suggest that the 2019 Bajaj Dominar will come with a redesigned exhaust possibly to comply with newer emission norms but it is not seen in these images. Rumors also say there will be significant changes to the engine. This includes a new Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) and a retuned 373.5cc engine. A slight bump in power output is expected.
