The 2019 Agera RS is all set to make its debut at the Genva Motor Show the coming year. But for now, at the Monterey’s Car Week held in California, Christian Von Koenigsegg has something to say, “It will be like a triple-distilled version of the current Agera.”

The current version of the car has dimensions,  length: 4293 mm, width: 2050 mm and height: 1120 mm. The low speed ground clearance is 105 mm and the track mode ground clearance is 85 mm. The wheelbase is 2662 mm and the fuel capacity is 82 litres. The luggage compartment capacity is 150 litres. The Dry weight is 1295 kg and the Curb weight is 1395 kg. It is expected to be slightly lighter and more spacious than the running one.

The car is expected to carry on a Koenigsegg twin turbo aluminum 5.0L V8, 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts, dry sump lubrication gasoline engine. Though much was not revealed but a 1000 kg of downforce can be expected at 155 mph. The Compression ratio is 9.3:1 and the Bore is 92 mm and the Stroke is 95.25 mm. The 1 MW engine option might be available. The transmission duties are handled by 7-speed paddle-shift with auto shift mode Koenigsegg Electronic differential (KED) Koenigsegg Gearbox Control Module (KGCM) for the current model. The transmission details of the next generation are still a mystery and it will be revealed as the days approaches its debut. Koenigsegg kept the curiosity intact with,  “It’s wild. We jokingly say that all the gears we saved in the Regera [that car used a trick Direct Drive system] we put in the new one, so there are plenty of gears.”

The beauty runs on Koenigsegg Aircore™ Super light hollow carbon fibre wheels with centre locking with Front dimensions 19” x 9.5” and Rear dimensions 20” x 12.5”, which might increase for the upcoming model. The wheels are usually covered with unidirectional with asymmetric thread pattern dedicated Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 (or optional Michelin Supersport for everyday use) tires. The four wheeler comes to a standstill with the help of Ventilated ceramic discs 397 mm, 40 mm wide 6-piston, Koenigsegg calipers in the front and Ventilated ceramic discs 380 mm, 34 mm wide 4-piston Koenigsegg calipers power-assisted in the rear. The brakes will be lighter than this.

Two-door, two seater with removable hardtop already comes equipped with dual airbags, power windows, adjustable pedals and steering column. The interiors are adorned with leather with Agera style stitching, bucket carbon sport seats with memory foam. The carbon ceramic brakes with Sport ABS, KES (stability) ,hydraulic lifting system, power steering, and power brakes are a few of the technical features. Satnav, LifePo4 battery, MP3 player, USB connection, climate control, digital warning and info system, G sensor, alarm, tire monitoring system, Koenigsegg shield alarm fob, leather carpets, roof storage bag, car cover, Koenigsegg car charger just make the automobile more convenient for the rider. Also the RS would be handcrafted on 25 models and among them 10 would be kept for pre show booking. The car will be available in the market not very soon.
