Volvo’s presence in India is long dated since between 2006 to 2008. The Volvo Brand is know for its safety and built features has now came up with all new 2nd Generation Volvo XC60. The XC60 has been best selling car worldwide and has 30% share of total sales from Volvo. The Swedish giant made a refresh to the SUV in 2013 and has been due with an update since then.
The new generation XC60 has been early showcased at Geneva Motor Show and now the all new 2018 Volvo XC60 has been launched in India on 1st December 2017 and will be available for sale from 2nd December. The Volvo XC60 shares the same SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform from its premium luxury SUV XC90. This makes the SUV almost as same width but with a shorter length.
Volvo has launched only one trim that is inscription trim, which is the top notch, fully loaded trim. The updated 2018 Volvo XC60 has similar Interior as we can see in XC90. The seats are all electrically adjustable and the dash board looks really sophisticated. The center console has a huge 9′ Inch multi-touch screen. The exteriors too has huge muscular looks. The front slated chrome grill wilh volvo’s logo gives immense bold look. The LED DRLs running through the headlamps are making it a complete boss out there.
The new-generation XC60 has bagged 5-star rating in EURO NCAP crash test and It has long list of safety features which includes a 360 degree camera, blind spot assist, semi automatic parking, lane departure alert and radar based safety systems like adaptive cruise control- this controls the speed of the SUV depending upon the vehicle ahead. The pricing too has been done aggressively at 55.9 lakh and it will lock horns directly with Mercedes GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Land Rover Discovery Sport.
