The Hinckley-based manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles, has launched all-New 2018 TIGER 800 XCX and XR Line up at Mumbai. The New Triumph Tiger 800 has list of major updates. The Tiger series has priced from INR 11.7 lakh (XR), Rs 13.1 lakh (XRx) and Rs 13.7 lakh (XCx), Ex-Showroom, Pan India. Although the new Tiger 800 is available in six variants in International market, However, Triumph has decided to launch only three variants in India – the Tiger 800 XR, the Tiger 800 XRx, and the Tiger 800 XCx is expected to be launched in later this year.

The new Tiger 800 has numerous changes including new futuristic LED Headlamps with LED Daytime running lights (DRLs), five-step adjustable windscreen and raised handlebar for better touring experience, aero deflectors for better aerodynamics and to reduce the wind blast for the rider and pillion, New side panels around fuel tank to give a different look to the bike and the most important one – a whole new 5” TFT LCD instrument console.

Performance and Power

The Manufacturer has made over 200 chassis and engine updates to the new 2018 TIGER 800 including new styling, revised engine and transmission. The Tiger 800 comes along the ride-by-wire throttle response system. Additionally, the new TIGER also made internal changes with new crankshaft and a new clutch. The new Triumph 800 series motorcycles will be powered by a three cylinder In-line, liquid cooled engine with 94PS of peak power at 9500 rpm and 78.8 Nm of peak torque at 8050 rpm which is mated to a 6 speed transmission. The 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 also features a shorter first gear ratio for better off-road traction, low-speed handling, and acceleration and has a new exhaust system which is lighter with better exhaust note.
