Tata Motors has launched the all-new Tigor Facelift today. The standard Tigor has completed just a year or more and the company has unwrapped the facelift version. Although, the modified Tigor will improve the sales of the range in this festive season. Before the launch, the company has already teased the car to raise the excitement among its fans, but now the wait is over. The new Tigor will be available in 5 variants XE, XM, XZ, XZA, and top spec XZ+. Here is the first look of the Tata Tigor Facelift.
At the front section, the new Tigor gets a double barrel headlamps highlighting projector lights. The company has also enhanced the turn signal lights, a shark-fin antenna, and a lightly tweaked grille. In terms of dimension, the vehicle measures 3882mm in length, 1677mm in width, and 1537mm in height. The wheelbase and ground clearance remains at 2450mm and 165mm, respectively.
The vehicle has a premium exterior featuring a break free coupe-like roofline and dual chamber projector. It gets a sparkling chrome finish highlights. It sits on a 15-inch alloy wheel which is updated with a dual-tone color scheme and the ORVM’s are equipped with LED turn indicators with auto fold function. The stylish vehicle is offered in six attractive shades: Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White, and Titanium Grey.
The superior cabin has received some amazing changes including a larger 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the dash which supports Bluetooth connectivity and AndroidAuto connectivity. The dashboard looks clean with only a few buttons and also exclude the piano black inserts that are seen in the present model. The cabin is integrated with 8 speakers including 4 doors speaker and 4 tweeters.
The cabin has received a premium Black and grey interior theme coupled with Titanium color Faux leather sheet which is extremely comfortable. It has knitted roofline and rear arms with cup-holder as standard which makes it luxurious. The interior has more legroom compared to standard variant.
In terms of safety, the compact sedan includes Anti-lock with EBD, dual airbag as standard, rear parking sensors, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Corner Stability Control (CSC).
The new Tigor facelift is available in both petrol and diesel variant. The diesel variant is powered by a 1047cc, Revotorq 1.5-litres, 3 cylinders, diesel unit which generates 70PS of power at 4000RPM and 140 NM of torque between 1800-3000 RMP. The diesel engine is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission.
While, the petrol variant runs on a 1.2 liter, 3 cylinders unit which churns out 85PS power at 6000 RPM and 114Nm torque at 3500 RPM. The petrol motor is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission and also AMT on offer. The fuel capacity of the vehicle is approx 35 liters.
The standard variant of Tigor starts at Rs 5.20 lakh, ex-showroom for the XE petrol MT and goes high to Rs 7.38 lakh for the top specs XZ+ diesel variant. The all-new Ford Tigor will rival against the likes of Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, and the Volkswagen Ameo.
