Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the best selling cars in India since its launch. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback back was first launched by the company at the Auto Expo in the month of February, 2018. Since 2018 Swift’s introduction, the vehicle has contributed much to the Maruti Suzuki’s sales figure, selling 1.02 lakh units till date. Now a special edition of the 2018 Swift hatchback has been launched in the country by Maruti Suzuki on their base variant. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition will be offered in both entry level LXi and LDi versions.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition is built based on the HEARTECT platform. The HEARTECT makes the car lighter and safer than the current generation swift. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition is priced at Rs 4.99 lakhs [ex showroom]. The new generation swift comes loaded with several features to add to the car’s popularity. The all new Maruti Suzuki Swift will get additional offerings on the exterior and interior as well. The paint job and the additional accessories will be provided by the dealers.
On the exterior, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition comes with body coloured door handles, body coloured outside rear view mirrors and wheel covers finished in black. Moving on to the cabin, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition sports dual front speakers, power windows for driver and front passenger, DIN music system, reverse parking sensors and remote central locking.
Powering the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback is 1.2 litre K series DOHC petrol motor with multipoint injection, which churns out a power of 83 bhp at 6000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. The other engine powering the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback is a 1.3 litre turbo charged diesel DDiS, producing a power of 74 bhp at 4000 bhp and 190 Nm torque at 2000 rpm. A five speed manual or AMT gearbox gets paired to both the engine. The petrol and diesel engine has a fuel economy of 22 kmpl and 28.4 kmpl respectively.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback, launched back in February this year is offered in 14 trims, priced in between Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 8.76 lakh under VXI, ZXI, VDI and ZDI grades. As we are heading on to the festive season, Maruti has launched the special edition of the Switch hatchback in order to boost theirs sales. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki has achieved over two million sales milestone in last 13 years and aims to further grow the sales figures with the introduction of 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Special edition in India before the onset of festive season.
