The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been teased in a video by Maruti Suzuki NEXA before its launch. The official teaser video reveals that the new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets new LED headlamps and a modified honeycomb front grille. Besides that the teaser video confirms the presence of day time running lights beneath the headlamps.
The new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets only subtle changes, which makes it sportier. More or less it remains same in design as the current Ciaz model. As a part of updated it gets cruise control, revised bumper design, alloys, foglights and taillights along with the new LED headlamp and redesigned front grille. This 2018 Ciaz has been on test over a year. It gets a new colour option as well.
The interior of the upcoming 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will get loaded with a number of features. The four wheeler will get an all new steering wheel and a new dashboard as well. The faux wood inlays, featuring the dashboard imparts the upcoming Ciaz 2018 a premium look. Besides that the interior will get equipped with touchscreen infotainment system, which is installed with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A twin pod instrument cluster and large MID screen also comes provided with the 2018 Ciaz.
The 2018 Ciaz facelift will be powered to a new 1.5 litre, more powerful petrol engine. This engine churns out a power of 104 PS and a peak torque of 138 Nm. SHVS gets paired to the engine. Suzuki in Japan has designed this more powerful engine and it will be powering the upcoming models of the Maruti Suzuki along with the 2018 Ciaz facelift. A 1.3 litre diesel engine will also be offered later on the 2018 Ciaz. This engine will develop a maximum power of 89 bhp at 4000 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. Both the engines are expected to get paired with manual and automatic transmissions.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift is expected be priced negligibly higher that the current model on sale, which is priced at a range of Rs 7.77 lakhs to Rs 12.2 lakhs. The bookings for the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift are opened and it will be sold through NEXA, the Maruti Suzuki’s premium marketplace. Once launched in India, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift will rival the Honda City, the Hyundai Verma, the Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
