Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has scheduled to launch the new 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift in the coming months around Diwali. TeamBHP has spotted the 2018 Marutii Ertiga facelift on the Indian roads with the emission testing equipment ahead of its launch and a member of TeamBHP, Raj Dubay has managed to click the latest spy shots. This suggests that the launch of the 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift is nearing. The all new MPV will get seating capacity of seven adults and is likely to be priced in between Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
The Maruti Ertiga facelift is already on sale in the markets of Indonesia and is just few months away from its official launch in India. The 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift will be offered on both petrol and diesel options. The 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift will be powered by a more powerful 1.5 litre petrol engine than the current Ertiga. This engine delivers a power of 104.7 PS and produces a peak torque of 138 Nm. The transmission options on this engine include both five speed manual and automatic. A 1.5 litre diesel engine developed in house will also be offered to the Etriga facelift. A six speed manual transmission comes paired to it. The expected mileage for the petrol powered Ertiga and diesel powered Ertige are around 20 kmpl and 25 kmpl respectively.
The 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift sits on 16 inches wheel and gets LED projector headlamps and LED rearlamps. The interior of the MPV will come with refreshed upholstery and a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new 2018 Maruti Ertiga gets ABS with EBD as standard. Besides that the other standard safety features include dual front air bags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, push start and stop button and automatic climate control.
After Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross, the 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift will be the fifth model to be sold via Nexa outlets. The new Ertiga will be larger than the current model, resulting to greater interior space and greater third row seating. The 2018 Marutii Ertiga facelift is developed based on the Suzuki’s Heartect platform which underpins the Baleno, Dzire and Swift. When launched in the Indian markets, the 2018 Maruti Ertiga facelift will compete with the Honda BR-V and the Renault Lodgy.
