The 2018 KTM Duke 200 recently made its debut at the Indonesia International Motor Show. It made an appearance with the newly updated side mounted exhaust, where the exhaust units resembled the ones on Duke 250 and 390. It is also reported that the Austrian bike makers offered test rides to potential buyers for experiencing the difference in the former model of the bike.
The KTM Duke 200 runs on a 199.5 cc single cylinder, 4 stroke,DOHC, spark ignition, liquid cooled, BS IV engine which produces a maximum power of 25 BHP at 10000 rpm and maximum torque of 19.2 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine comes with a 6 speed manual gearbox. The capacity of the fuel tank is 11 litres. The KTM beast has a maximum speed of 136 kmph. The seat height is 810 mm and the ground clearance is 165 mm. The kerb weight is 136 kgs and the dry weight is 129.5 kgs. The bike gives a mileage of 25-35 kmpl. The bike has a steel trellis frame which is power coated.
The KTM bike has a naked body type and comes in black, orange and white shade. The front suspension of the bike is handled by upside down telescopic forks and the rear one is monoshock. The tyre specification is 110/70*17-150/60*17. The bike has an acceleration of 0-60 kmph in 3.3 secs and 0-100 kmph in 9.20 secs. The bore of the KTM bike is 72 mm and the stroke is 49 mm. The compression ratio is 11.3:1. The bike uses a wet multidisc clutch. The front one is a 300 mm disc brake and the rear one is a 230 mm disc brake. ABS is absent. The KTM Duke has an overall length of 2002 mm, width of 873 mm and a height of 1274 mm. The wheelbase is 1367 mm. The highly informative instrument console consists of a clock, Tripmeter, Odometer, and Distance to Empty Indicator etc, which are all digital. The bike has a halogen headlamp and LED taillamp and turn signal.
The bike bears a price tag of Rs 1,50,259 in ex showroom Delhi. It is expected to meet rivals like TVS RTR 200 and the Bajaj 200 NS on the highway.
