India Kawasaki Motor has launched the new 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS in India. The new 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS gets updates in graphics and paints. It is available with two colour options – lime green and candy plasma blue. The ex showroom price of this new two – wheeler is Rs 2.98 lakh, which is cheaper than the previous model by Rs 62,000. This makes the bike the cheapest twin cylinder motorcycle in India. Most importantly the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is equipped with anti braking system, ABS.
The motorcycle adopts its design from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX – 10 R and the design for wheels is borrowed from Ninja ZX – 14 R. The Ninja 300 ABS comes loaded with dual channel ABS, dual headlamp setup, sharp front end with a window screen to reduce wind buffering. Besides that the bike comes equipped with front and rear petal discs, Endurance brakes, high tensile strength diamond frames, a new die cast aluminium cylinder which is lighter by 600 gm. The kerb weight of the bike is 179 kg and height of the bike is lowered by 5 mm. It runs on MRF tyres.
Speaking on the new launched Ninja 300 ABS, Mr. Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said “We just started localising for Ninja 300 ABS as a part of our expansion plan. Initiatives like “Make In India” have also been encouraging factors in increasing localisation. The localisation gives us benefit to set a very competitive price, because of which we can offer many new customer an opportunity to enjoy our product and also start experiencing fun of supersports riding. As per Kawasaki’s product portfolio Ninja 300 is entry level sports bike. We have observed that customers start with Ninja 300 and then upgrade to the next class. Therefore Ninja 300 happens to be our best selling product in India because of affordable price.”
The new 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS is powered to a 296 cc parallel – twin cylinder, eight valve, DOHC engine. The engine churns out a power of 38 bhp at 11000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 10000 rpm. A six speed gearbox is matted to it. Besides that the new bike comes with assist and slipper clutch, 37 mm telescopic forks at front and monoshock at the rear. The customers doing pre-booking will be offered three years warranty offer on the new Ninja 300 ABS.
