Indian Motorcycles have limited only 350 units of this bike to be retailed globally. Therefore in the Indian auto markets the 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite is available at pre order basis.
The 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite comes loaded with astonishing features and gets a detailed custom paintjob. The every little details of the bike including the textures and materials used are quite practical. But the main attraction of the bike is its extraordinary paintjob which takes 25 hours to complete and is done manually. This particular paint scheme is motivated from the Black Hills of South Dakota near Spearfish. The exclusive USP of the bike is Black Hills High flake silver. Moreover, the massive human involvement will make each unit of this ultra luxury bike unique from one another.
The 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite comes equipped with prominent features including Indian ride command, i.e, seven inch touch screen infotainment system, 200 watt sound system, keyless ignition, custom leather seats, aluminium floorboards, split screen technology and tyre pressure monitoring system. Besides that the 2018 Chieftain Elite gets vehicle information and status and Bluetooth audio as standard. The Indian Chieftain Limited is priced at Rs 36 lakh and is available with five colour options – Brilliant Blue, Pearl White, Black Pearl, Thunder Black Pearl with Graphics and Bronze Smoke with graphics.
The 2018 India Chieftain Elite and the Chieftain Limited is powered to the Thunderstroke 111 V-twin, air cooled, fuel injected 1811 cc engine, which delivers a peak torque of 161.6 Nm at 3000 rpm. The engine comes coupled with a six speed transmission with a belt drive. Braking duties are handled by 300 mm dual discs at the front and 300 mm single disc at the rear. The bike comes with cruise control and ABS. The fuel tank capacity is 20 litre and its weight stands out to 364 kg.
