Honda Amaze: Honda Amaze is one of the most awaited cars of the automotive market. The compact sedan was first presented at the recent 2018 Auto Expo. The company is expected to officially launch the next-generation car next month, as dated on 16th May 2018. The latest upcoming model will be rolled out in total four variants which includes Base E, S, V, and VX. As we all know, the latest variant will be a modified version of the previous Honda Amaze. The new model is expected to come with a completely different look and updated cabin and safety features. So let’s check out the major differences received by the latest model.
Comparision Of Design
The second-gen model looks completely different in terms of look. Now, it has a sleek front look compared to the previous model. The outer layout is somewhat based on the popular Honda City and Civic. 2018 The new model is outfitted with a revised unique front hood, the latest chrome shaded grille and equipped with all-new twin-shaded 10 spoke alloy wheels of 14 inches and 15 inches, for different versions available. In the front, you will observe a latest LED DRLs and an all-new bumper. The rear section of the car is also changed with a more vivid and sharp appearance.
2018 Amaze features more spacious cabin along with dual color design. The cabin space is increased more compared to existing model thanks to the expanded exterior layout. As per the company, the rear passenger seat is spacious and the seat is made of great material comfortable equally to the front seat. The dashboard highlights innovative features such as Digipad 2.0, 7-inches touchscreen infotainment system. The display system will feature MirrorLink, route guide, rear parking camera and also support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
New Amaze will feature NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels thanks to the noise reducing elements used. The cabin features of the new model are more superior compared to older variant and it also surpasses, Honda City, which comes with Digipad 1.0. The company will add more advanced security features to satisfy the current norms. The security features of the new model will be of high-level than the previous version.
Beside so many exciting changes, the new model comes with the identical engine. The old variant was powered by a petrol engine which delivered 88 PS power and 109 Nm torque, but the figures are increased for the new variant at 90 PS of power and 110 Nm of peak torque. Mileage of old Amaze manual stood at 17.8 kmpl for manual variant and 18.1 kmpl for automatic variant. The 2018 variant petrol manual produces 19.5 kmpl (17.8 kmpl in the old variant) whereas CVT auto variant gives 19 kmpl ( 18.1 kmpl for older automatic variant).
The power figures for a diesel engine are not changed so, it will also produce 100 PS of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The upcoming diesel manual variant will produce 27.4 kmpl mileage (1.5 kmpl more) and diesel CVT produces 23.8 kmpl. The 2018 model is now bigger compared to old Amaze. The new model is 3,995mm in length (5mm more) and 1,695mm in width (15mm more). The wheelbase is 2,470mm (65mm more) whereas height is lowered approx. 5mm which becomes 1,500mm.
Honda has not disclosed the prices of the Amaze’s variants officially. After the official launch on 16th May 2018, it will lock horns against the likes of Maruti Dzire. So, the price of the latest Amaze will be somewhat higher than the rivaling model. The price of the existing model starts from INR 5.74 lakhs to INR 8.65 lakhs. So, without any doubt, the latest variant will receive a price tag higher than the existing model. We expect the top-spec variant of the latest car to come with high-level security features along with an alluring cabin. The new Amaze will definitely come with notable features compared to the existing variant.
