2018 Honda Amaze: As we all know, the Indo-Japanese automotive manufacturer, Honda Cars India debuted their next-gen Honda Amaze at the recent Auto Expo 2018. Finally, the company is ready to launch the next-gen car in the next month. At present, the company has revealed the exciting specs, mileage, and features of the sub-compact sedan ahead of the launch expected in May, this year. Honda Cars India have traded more than 2.5 lakh Amaze sedans (previous variant) after the introduction. As per the company, the latest variant will increase its sales and add more new customers to their list.
Similar to previous Honda variants, the upcoming sedan will be coming in four trim alternatives which are E, S, V, and VX (top-spec). The brand-new variant will be available with the identical engine specs on offer. The previous variant is available with petrol 1.2 liters and diesel 1.5-liter choices. It will come in manual and also CVT transmission choices on offer. The petrol and diesel versions of the car will be available in manual 5 speed and CVT on offer. The company has offered the manual choice for all versions whereas, the CVT is just for the S and V grades (on offer). The car will be 3995 longer, 1695 wider, and 1501 taller. The tire measures 175/65 R15 and 65 mm wheelbase.
The petrol variant is equipped with a 1.2-liter motor which produces 90 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 110 Nm of peak torque at 4800 rpm. The MT and CVT get the identical numbers. According to ARAI, the Amaze will offer a great performance of a mileage at 19.5 kmpl and 19 kmpl for CVT and MT, respectively. The upcoming 2018 Honda Amaze will sport Cruise Control also. The 1.5-litre diesel variant will come in two separate versions. MT version will be powered by a strong 1.5-litre engine which will deliver 100 PS of max power and 200 Nm of peak torque, whereas the CVT version will offer 80 PS of max power and 160 Nm of peak torque. CVT transmission variant comes with paddle shifter. MT Amaze allows 27.4 kmpl mileage whereas CVT diesel at 23.8 kmpl. Both the engines are combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The expected features of the next-gen Amaze includes LED DRLs, C-shaped tail lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, shark-fin antenna, engine start-stop button, Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system along with MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control and much more exciting highlights. The 2018 Honda Amaze will rival against the popularity of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, and Hyundai Xcent. Next month, we will many sedan models from automotive giants, for example, Toyota Yaris, Honda Amaze, and Mercedes-AMG E63. Honda Civic and Audi A8 are also expected to be launched in India this year.
