Most Importantly the power unit for Ford Aspire facelift is a new 1.2 litre three cylinder Dragon Petrol engine and a 1.5 litre diesel engine which was introduced in the Freestyle Cross Over. The 1.2 litre Dragon Petrol engine churns out a power of 95 bhp at 6000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 140 Nm. This engine will get both five speed manual and six speed automatic transmission. On the other hand the 1.5 litre diesel engine delivers a power of 98 bhp at 3750 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1750 – 3000 rpm. A five speed manual transmission comes paired to this engine.
The overall mileage of the 1.2 litre MT, 1.2 litre AMT and 1.5 litre MT engines are 14 kmpl, 13 kmpl and 19 kmpl respectively. The Ford Aspire facelift is likely to be priced slightly higher than its current counterpart. Ford could price the uplifted Aspire in the range of Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh. The Compact sedan has been the most loved segment in Indian market and thus everyone wants to have huge chunk of it. With the launch of 2018 Aspire Ford will manage to make its comeback in the compact sedan segment.
