Audi India has finally released the latest RS 5 Coupe in the country which will be available at INR 1.10 crore (ex-showroom). German automobile maker, Audi has got a great response in the Indian market. The coupe line-up is the compelling segment of Audi’s A5 Brat set (that covers the A5, S5, and the A5 Cabriolet) because of the innovative 2.9-litre bi-turbo engine. However, the engine is less compared to the previous variants but delivers amazing power and torque numbers. The latest car is a sportier variant by the company which will be undoubtedly shipped as CBU (completely built-up unit) in the country.
RS 5 Coupe will be the first RS to come at such low price in India. The latest variant of Audi India will combine in the range of Audi RS 6 Avant and the RS 7 which are already popular. The brand-new Audi is more modified than other models. It is now 60kg lesser in weight thanks to the lightweight concept used by the company. In terms of the dimensions, the latest Coupe is 74mm wider and 6mm smaller compared to the forerunner. Now, the Wheelbase is widened at 15mm, to 2,766mm, which resulted in an extra space for back shoulder, knee, and passenger’s leg. It is a two-door coupe, but four peoples can easily fit inside the car. The cabin is more spacious than other models. The rear passenger seat gets increased leg space.
The Audi RS 5 is now powered by a 2.9-litre V6 engine which is capable of producing maximum peak power of 456PS and 600Nm of peak torque which is 170Nm extra compared to the previous variants. The car features bi-turbo mill which assists the amazing variant to accomplish speed frequency at 0-100kmph which is the greater number now. It can achieve the highest speed of 250kmph. Audi has improved the fuel efficiency in every new product. The fuel efficiency of this variant is increased to 17% which is 10.8kmpl. The Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system assures that the power is transferred to all the wheel continuously.
Some additional features of the RS 5 Coupe include matrix LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, 3-zone air conditioning, electrically flexible front seats along with memory and massage features for the operator, Alcantara leather upholstery, latest MMI controls, voice commands and Bang & Olufsen sound system including 19 speakers. The RS 5 is the second Audi variant which is coming to India in 2018. The previous variant was the Audi Q5 which was released in the month of January this 2018. After the RS 5, the company has decided to roll-out next-gen 5-seat coupe-SUV, named Audi Q8. The 2018 RS 5 will lock horns with the BMW M4. The Audi buyers have a great chance to service their cars in the Audi service camp which will begin from April 16, 2018.
